Part II: Did the Lord Never Tell You?

When Guillermo stood in the front row, arms lifted, voice trembling with passion as he sang hymns and offered praises to President Duterte, it was a portrait of devotion — at least on the surface. He looked like a man guided by faith, grounded in values, and committed to righteousness. But behind the emotional display and rehearsed reverence, a darker contradiction emerges — one that raises urgent questions about sincerity, integrity, and accountability.

Guillermo, let’s not beat around the bush:
Did the Lord — the same Lord you claim to worship — never whisper to you that stealing, corruption, and nepotism are wrong?

Let’s talk about your driver’s license — not earned, but bought from your uncle at the Land Transportation Office (LTO). Is that what you believe a faithful man does? Cheat the system with a smile while others study, prepare, and line up for a fair process? Did God stay silent when you slid money across the desk for a shortcut?

Let’s talk about my car — the one you took without permission, without a word, as if it were yours to claim. Did you feel no shame? No hesitation? Did you convince yourself I wouldn’t notice — or worse, that I wouldn’t dare speak out?

What’s most disturbing isn’t just the actions themselves. It’s the performance you put on in front of the church. Singing, praying, pretending. What does your worship mean when your actions outside the church doors mock everything the gospel stands for? Also your kids follow your example and don’t become any better.

You wear your faith like a costume — but underneath it, there’s a man who lies, cheats, and takes what isn’t his, all while claiming spiritual authority. And that, Guillermo, is the definition of hypocrisy.
…You call yourself a follower, yet mercy and justice never find you beyond those stained-glass walls. Your words ring hollow when generosity and compassion die the moment your back is turned. How can you claim to love your neighbor when you trample the weak underfoot, shielded by your Sunday best? And what legacy are you passing on when your children learn hypocrisy instead of humility? It’s time to stop the theater and let genuine faith—rooted in love, truth, and accountability—shape your life for real.

How do you live with it?

  • Do you kneel at night and ask for forgiveness, only to wake and do it all again?
  • Do you think faith is a shield that protects you from accountability?
  • Or worse — have you convinced yourself that God is on your side, even as you break every value He teaches?

This isn’t just a personal grievance. This is a call for truth, for integrity, and for repentance.

You can’t preach righteousness with one hand while the other steals.
You can’t praise justice while practicing corruption.
And you can’t invoke God while ignoring His commandments.

So I ask again:

Guillermo, did the Lord never tell you that what you’ve done is wrong? Or were you just never listening?

Read the first part here: Front Row Hypocrisy, and know this:
The truth doesn’t fade when the music stops. It waits. Sooner or later, you will have to face it.
